Nefyn’s 27 hole Championship layout offers you 3 great loops of 9 holes, each with their own distinctive characteristics and challenges.
The ‘Front’ loop starts from the clubhouse and runs along the shoreline with small coves and bays cutting into the fairways before turning inland to two testing par 4s and a par 3 played uphill to a narrow well-bunkered green.
The ‘Old’ loop is the world-famous ‘Point’, 9 holes on a narrow promontory with the sea and sandy beaches bordering the fairways on either side.
The ‘New’ loop takes in some excellent par 4s, including a dog-leg around a small inlet, a genuine par 5 with its gently sloping, uphill fairway before reaching the 9th tee with its panoramic views of the entire course.
Nefyn’s three loops of 9 holes not only offers golfers a rich variety of breathtaking views and scenery, but also a constantly changing set of challenges which require, if it’s possible, the golfer’s full attention. It also means that Nefyn has the flexibility to accommodate golfing parties of all sizes.
We’re very proud of all 27 holes at Nefyn, but here are 6 that our many visitors tell us really stand out as the best.
Over the years many distinguished golfers, writers and other sporting celebrities from all over the world have visited Nefyn, some of whom have written about what they saw and the experience of playing this dramatic golf course.
At Nefyn, we strive to ensure that all our visiting golfers feel welcome and are treated by our staff as guests during the course of their stay. We pride ourselves in offering visiting golfers a relaxed and convivial atmosphere both on and off the course.
We do, however, ask that golfers comply with a few simple rules both on and off the course. These rules are designed solely to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit.
