The Course

You’ll be guaranteed a golfing experience to remember here at Nefyn.

Perfectly situated on the spectacular northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula, our 27 hole layout consists of an 18 hole Championship Course, which not only offers golfers a rich variety of breathtaking views and scenery, but also a constantly changing set of challenges which require, if at all possible, the golfers full attention.

In addition, you can also choose to play our world famous ‘Point’ which offers 9 holes of breathtaking golf along the thin stretch of land that encroaches out into the Irish Sea. During allocated tee times, the ‘Point’ can be played as an 18 hole course when paired with the Championship Course’s front nine or as part of a 27 hole package.

You really have to see it to believe it!

The Front Nine – Yellow

The Front Nine of the Championship Course here at Nefyn opens with a gentle downhill par 4 as you travel towards the sea.

What then follows is a series of testing holes that run adjacent to the coastline with good line and length needed to reach the greens in regulation. Accuracy is the name of the game here because any stray shots will see your ball end up in the Irish sea.

The Back Nine – Red

The Back Nine of the Championship Course is set on the inland section of the course and opens up with a testing long par 4.

There is a good mix of holes that offers golfers a true test of their ability but also plenty of opportunities to score well. Athough you don’t have the sea to contend with, there are plenty of hazards waiting to catch you out.

The ‘Point’ Nine – Blue

The Point is situated on one of the UK’s most iconic golfing locations.

Situated on the narrow strip of land that peers out into the Irish Sea, past the fishing village of Porthdinllaen, it really needs to be seen to be believed. Each of the nine holes offers their uniques challenges, whether it’s shot making or just resisting admiring the view!

Paired together with the championship course’s front nine, the point can be played as an 18 hole course or as part of the full 27.

Nefyn’s Signature Holes

We’re very proud of all 27 holes at Nefyn, but here are 6 that many of our visitors tell us really stand out to them.

The Championship front nine’s 2nd and 5th holes showcase Nefyn’s unique location. The 4th and 7th holes along the Point represent just two of the many golfing challenges and the Championship’s back nine’s 3rd and 6th holes are a pair of testing par 4’s.
